Karen Eastman Obituary

Karen K. Eastman, our beloved mother, grandma, great grandma, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on August 5, 2025.  A proud member of the Oneida Nation, she was born July 4, 1945 in Appleton, WI, daughter of the late William F. Graham and Valeria (Doxtator) Graham Wieseler.  On February 19, 1962, Karen was united in marriage to Allan C. Eastman Sr. in Appleton, WI and together they shared 47 years of marriage before his passing on July 27, 2009.

Karen worked at the Columbus Club for 15 years prior to joining and retiring from Theda Clark Medical Center after 22 years of service.  She traveled extensively throughout the United States and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends including UTV rides and bonfires at her cabin near Suring, WI.

In addition to traveling, Karen enjoyed cooking, casinos, and shopping--not necessarily in that order.  By the way, did we mention shopping?  Karen had a love for cars and loved attending car shows as well as watching her son participate in drag races.  She and Al also enjoyed motorcycling and camping for many years with their family.

She will be dearly missed by five sons: Al Jr. (Tracy) Neenah, WI, Brian (Lynn) Suring, WI, Conway (Kris) Summerville, SC, Darin Appleton, WI, and Ed (Kim) Oneida, WI.  Grandchildren: A.J. (Tamara) Eastman, Alex (Danyelle) Eastman, Jessica (Ben) Detrie, Michael (Kim) Eastman, Brandon (Jordan) Eastman, Brooke (Chris) Perri, McKayla Eastman, Chantel (Scott) Perry and Logan Smith.  Great Grandchildren: Brayden, Nonah, Charlee, Ezrah, Kendra, Wesley, Jace, Natalie, Lucas, Adelyn, Kayleigh, Everleigh, Lucy, Charlie, and Clayton.  Brother Glen (Lynn) Graham; sisters Kathy (James) Ducharme, Marlene (Bruce) Garvey; brother-in-law Bill Eastman; and sister-in-law Kelly Graham.  She is further survived by her special friend, Lea Pelegrin, and many nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren, other relatives, and lifelong friends.

Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Al, in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harvey and Barbara Eastman, brothers William Graham, LeRoy Graham, Jerry Graham, Alan Wieseler, and Gary (Sputz) Wieseler, sisters-in-law Jeanette Dengel, Geraldine Graham, Debra Eastman, Lee Eastman, Bonnie Eastman, Isabelle Eastman, Kathy Graham, Darla Jean Graham, Carol Eastman, and Donna Wieseler; brothers-in-law, Jerome Eastman, Wayne Eastman, Bob Eastman, and Carl Dengel; and other dear family members, relatives, and friends.

Karen’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at ThedaCare Cancer Center and ThedaCare Hospice at Cherry Meadows for the care and compassion they provided, and to all the family and friends that have reached out in so many ways to provide support to her and her family over the past several months.  If you desire, wear pink at her service in honor of breast cancer awareness.
