Judith A. Sternhagen

Judith A. Sternhagen, age 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2024. She was born to the late George and Sophie (Skalitzky) Marquardt on January 11, 1943 in Appleton, WI.

Judith was a very simple woman who loved to spend her days gardening. She also had a deep love for animals, especially her cat, dog, and birds. Family was extremely important to her and she cherished the many memories she made over the years with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Judith is survived by her son, Leon (Kathy) and his significant other, Michelle; daughter, Susan (Scott); and brothers: Dave (Debbie), Don, and Jeff. She is further survived by her 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy; brother, George; and her daughter, Roxanne.

A Funeral Service for Judith will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. and will continue until the time of the service. For online condolences, please visit www.valleyfh.com.
