Judith Kitts Obituary

Judith Ann Marie Kitts, 80, of Appleton, passed away at the age of 80 with her loving family surrounding her after an extended battle with Alzheimer’s.  Judy was born on August 11, 1940, to the late Bernard and Ann Kozlowski of Princeton, WI.  She was a 1958 graduate of Appleton West High School. Judy was married in 1966 to her late husband, Thomas Kitts. She was a lifelong resident of Appleton.

Judy worked at several places over the years, but the favorite position she held was being a cook at the Appleton Phone Company.  She worked in retail for several years as well. Judy had a kind, patient, and loving disposition; so many families sought her out to care for their children where soon she was known as the neighborhood nanny.  She cherished her lunch outings with the circle of girls from the Macy’s store over the years.

Judy loved her 2 daughters, Kathy and Stacey, very much and well as all her grandchildren.   She appreciated going on road trips with them while taking in the wide array of scenery; and enjoyed all of nature’s colors along the way. Red cardinals were her favorite birds and whenever she saw one, she spoke of her late mother.  Judy loved life and getting together with others to visit.  She opened her home and heart up to so many people over the years.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy (Tom) Schumann, Appleton, and Stacey Kitts, Appleton; grandchildren: Caitlyn Kitts, Justin Seehawer (Lydia Armbruster), Kyle Seehawer (Rebecca Viene), Devan Seehawer (Brianna Ropski), Brooke Seehawer (Dylan Zastrow), Cole Schumann, Chloe Schumann, and Braylee Schumann. Great-grandchildren: Aliyah Seehawer, Emmitt Seehawer, Kolton Seehawer, Tukkor Ropski; Step grandchildren: Mandy (Luke) Ruys, and Lacey Schumann (Kyle Gasperini) ; step-great-grandchildren: Tristen and Kendra Ruys, Jayce Honer; Brother: Wayne (Deidre) Kozlowski, Ken (Sharon) Kozlowski, Allan (Barbara)  Kozlowksi.  She is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Tiffany Shraufnagel, Century Oaks Assisted Living Facility, and Ken from Thedacare Hospice for their outstanding care and kindness they showed to Judy over the years.

Kathy and Stacey would also like to thank their mom’s younger brother, Wayne Kozlowski, for his dedication, love and support he gave to her over the past 6 years espeically.  They could not have made it through this process without his support, care, concern, and assistance.  Judy cherished her baby brother very much, and he stuck by her side until her very last breath.  We love you Uncle Wayne.
