He worked at Piggly Wiggly during high school, and again later in his life until retirement, holding various positions. He married “his Angel” Catherine Ann Clements on August 10, 1972. She preceded him in death on September 25, 1994. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and together with Cathy, were deeply involved with the church and local community. His faith was very important to him. He enjoyed calling Bingo as an activities coordinator at Golden Ventures retirement home where he was living. Joe knew everyone in Kaukauna; he couldn’t go out in public without running into someone to share an old memory with. He was a very giving and kind person, always finding a way to serve others by donating his time. Joe will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
