John Kenneth Vogt

John Kenneth Vogt, 69, of Appleton passed away on Wednesday December 30, 2020 at ThedaCare Hospital in Neenah.  He was born on October 3, 1951 in Appleton.   The son of Kenneth and Ann (Werner) Vogt.   On October 16, 1971 John married Paula Keen in Appleton.   John was a finishing carpenter for many years and in his free time he enjoyed woodworking, fires with his neighbors, going for fish frys, fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, going to casinos, cooking and having talks with his grandsons.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, his dog Emma and friends and will be missed by all that knew him.

John is survived by his children:  Tonya (John) Wickesberg of Black Creek, Jeremiah (Michelle) Vogt of Appleton. Grandchildren: Cole, Ayden, Andrew, and Anthony.   Brother, Scott (Pam) Vogt of Appleton.  Sister, Laurie (Robert) Sanders of Appleton.  In-laws, James (Janeen) Keen, Marilyn (Thomas) Merkes, Gary (Sue) Keen, Nancy (Gary) Kleczewski, and Mary (Robert) Summers and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   He is survived by his dog Emma.    John is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Paula, grandson Paul, nephew Robert, niece Dawn and In-laws Sherry (Richard) Mielke and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM  at Valley Funeral Home (2211 N. Richmond St. Appleton, WI 54911)  Pastor Leon Knitt will officiate.   Visitation will be held on Saturday January 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM until the hour of service at Valley Funeral Home.
