Joanne Theresa Fox

Joanne Theresa Fox, age 82, died peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton.

Joanne was born on October 15, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Nowak) Krys.  Joanne was a 1953 graduate of St. Peter & Paul Catholic High School in Saginaw. She was united in marriage to James R. Fox on September 16, 1961 in Saginaw and was a faithful member of St. Casimir Catholic Parish of Saginaw. Joanne was formerly employed with Meijer Thrifty Acres, as a baker for over 15 years. But mostly Joanne was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and of course baking, plus keeping track of the Detroit Red Wings.  She loved her cat babies Zuzu and Pete.   She is survived by her two children, DeeAnna (Ernie) Moore, Appleton; Dennis “Denny” Fox, Weyauwega; her four grandchildren, Jeffery and Rebecca Wilson and Emily and Benjamin Fox, seven great-grandchildren, Andres, Amiri, Alijah, Jaydyn, Zayda, Zariyah and Mateo and by a sister, Eleanor Ohman. Joanne was also preceded in death by her husband, James in 2011, a son, Christopher in 1986, a sister, Gertrude “Dolly” Schilling and two brothers, Alex and Chet Krys.  She also loved her other “family” at John Fischer Manor of Appleton, WI.

Per Joanne’s wishes no services will be held. In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathies a memorial fund is being established for the American Cancer and Heart associations.
