JoAnn R. Gaigg, 92 passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. JoAnn was born on July 28, 1932 to Louis and Augusta (Schmitz) Killian in Kaukauna. On September 12, 1964 she was united in marriage to Peter Gaigg. JoAnn was a church organist and a music teacher, playing many Sunday mornings while her children were right near her. She loved the Christmas holiday season and getting together with family. JoAnn also loved cooking, canning, baking and gardening. Her gardens and flowers were always beautiful. Peter and JoAnn liked to go furniture shopping together. Finding new furniture and lamps was their thing. One, of many, of her sayings was, “Your bed must be made and all the dishes washed before you leave the house!”
JoAnn is survived by her children; Gloria (Ben) Trantow, Alicia (Scott) Buelow and William (Nikole) Gaigg, 2 special nieces; Mary Lou Vanden Boogaard and Gail (David) Vanderloop, grandchildren; Andrew (Annette) Kreutzberg II, Maria (Jacob) Zimmerman, Jacob (Valerie) Hansel, Anna Hansel, Joshua (Gabriella) Gaigg, Thomas Gaigg, Valerie Gaigg, Juliana Gaigg, Alayna Gaigg, Callie Gaigg, Lucas Gaigg, great grandchildren; Jaxson, Elisha, Jonah, Magdalene, Abigail Zimmerman, Ephraim Joseph Gottfried, Rosalie Gaigg, Jayden, Tucker and Kylie Kreutzberg, a sister Virgil Meulemans, a brother Daniel (Judy) Killian, sisters-in-law; Barbara Killian, Dawn Killian, Joan Jenkins and Cecelia Gaigg, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Peter, grandson Phillip Kreutzberg, and siblings; Thomas Killian, Charles Killian, Frank (Elaine) Killian, Leo Killian, Esther Killian, Mildred (Joseph) Gokey, Lorrain (Clayton) Van Asten and Carol (Richard) School.
The funeral service for JoAnn will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 404 W. Lawrence St., Appleton.
