Jeffrey Winter

Jeffrey Winter, age 65, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

Jeff loved to read (Terry Brooks was his favorite author), watch movies (Star Wars was his favorite), video games (build, play and host), and music; Keeper of the Stars was his favorite song and he actually sang it to propose to his future wife, Marianne Kavalary.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Marianne (Kavalary) Winter; siblings: Jim (Valerie) Winter, Deborah Winter, Mark (Theresa) Winter, Rick (Joanne) Winter, and Lisa (David) Bungert; nieces: Jeanine “Neener” and Jessie among other nieces and nephews. He is further survived by sisters and brothers-in-law: Theodora “Teddy” (John) Thompson, Harry (Linda) Kavalary, and Charlene (Jack) Wiesner.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard and Jeanine (Vantoll) Winter; in-laws: George and Janet Kavalary; best friend and brother of Marianne, Nick “Neyko” Kavalary.

A Funeral Service for Jeff will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. and will continue until the time of the service. He will be laid to rest in Appleton’s Highland Memorial Park.
