Jeanette J. (Gellings) Tabbert

Jeanette J. Tabbert, 89 of Greendale, WI passed away peacefully on October 24 in Appleton, WI. She was lovingly surrounded by her children. Jeanette was born on July 13, 1934 to Irenus and Stella Gellings. She graduated from Greendale High School in 1952 and married the love of her life, Roger Tabbert in 1956. Together they had four children, Beth (Jim) Pospyhalla, Ted (Dawn), Thomas (Kathy) and Daniel. Jeanette is survived by her four children, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and six sisters (Eileen, Darlene, Joyce, Karen, Bonnie and Linda) as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Roger, her parents, one brother and one grandson. 

Jeanette had a long dedicated career in retail sales at various Milwaukee department stores. She was a celebrated cook, baker and loved canning fruits/vegetables and cultivating her tomato plants. She took great pride in large family celebrations with delicious homemade food.  She was an excellent seamstress. She had a strong, intelligent and very practical personality. We love you grandma and will miss you greatly!

Memorial services will be held at St. Alphonsus Church, 6060 W. Loomis Rd., Greendale, WI 53129 on Friday, November 17th. Visitation at 10:00AM and mass at 11:00AM.
