Jeanette Kester Obituary

Jeanette M. Kester, age 97, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2022. She was born on September 25, 1924 in Langlade, Wisconsin to the late Joseph and Stella (Grimes) Karasinski. She graduated from White Lake High School and then attended Oshkosh Business College. Jeanette worked as a bookkeeper at Universal Foundry in Oshkosh, Gibson Company of Appleton and later at Stumpf Motor Co. of Appleton from which she retired after 21 years of service. She married Owen Kester on September 18, 1948 and was married for 60 before Owen passed away on November 5, 2008. Jeanette loved reading, especially mystery novels, worked crossword puzzles (in ink) all her life. She loved arts and crafts and flower arranging. She had a love of flowers and displayed her green thumb around her home and yard. Jeanette spent a lot of time with her husband at their Up North Retreat, also loved snowmobiling and traveling many many years.

Survivors include; her daughter, Karen (Randy) Riggles, two grandsons; Dante (Amelie) and Travis (Sara), one granddaughter, Whitney (Cody), three great grandchildren; Karas, Alaya and Aubree. Jeanette is further survived by a specila sister in law, June Luebke and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, especially; Emily Braumbaugh, Marge Lamers and Lillian Williams, her best friend for over 60 years.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Owen, brother, Theodore Karasinski, sisters; Violet Karasinski, Eilen Byczynski, Evelyn Schmidt and Julianne Karasinski.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at Lakeview Memorial Park (Chapel), 2786 Algoma Blvd. Oshkosh, WI  54901
