Jean Plante Obituary

Jean Marie Plante, age 79, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Prairie Home Assisted Living in Menasha. Jean was born January 5, 1942 to the late Joseph and Allie (Maata) Sopsich in Laurium, Michigan. Jean graduated high school in Calumet, Michigan. She worked for many years as a Loan Officer for Community First Credit Union. Jean enjoyed boating, bowling, and being in the sun.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Nadine Plante (Paul Tripp); son, Deric Plante (Teresa Rachfal); granddaughter, Allie Tripp; brother, Bill (Rita) Sopsich; sister, Carol (Bill) Mukavetiz as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jean is further survived by the father of her children, Vince Plante.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Joseph Sopsich and Paul Sopsich.

There will be a private family service honoring Jean.
