Janice L. Jenkins

Janice L. Jenkins, age 66, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at her home in Appleton after a battle with ALS. She was born in San Pedro, CA on May 7, 1959 to the late Clyde Jr and Marcella (Schwab) Jenkins.

Janice graduated from Appleton West High School. She worked at Guardian Life Insurance for over 28 years until her retirement in 2019. She also worked at Kmart and Appleton Standard Service Station. Janice is courageously a breast cancer survivor. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren, and dog (Willow). Janice proudly stated that her greatest accomplishments in life were her children.

Janice is survived by her children: Cory (Stefanie) Steward, Marcella (Nick) Ortlieb; grandchildren: Mabel, Dane and Burke Steward, Zoe Ortlieb; and siblings: Eugene Jenkins, Connie (Bob) Weiss, Debbie Jenkins/Sanjay Lee.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents and sister in law Sue Jenkins.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N Richmond Street, Appleton. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until time of service.
