Janet E. (Forbeck) Bousley, age 88, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Renaissance Assisted Living with her family by her side. She was born on January 19, 1934, the daughter of the late Emil and Amanda (Wendt) Forbeck.
On April 29, 1976, she married Donald Bousley. Janet was employed as an Elevator Operator in Zuelke Building for 38 years. Once she retired, she and Don enjoyed traveling and hosting at different campgrounds; some of their favorite states were Missouri and Texas. They lived in Texas for ten years moving back home in October 2016. She loved sewing and baking some of the family’s favorite desserts. She treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.
Janet is survived by her two step-sons: Arnie (Judy) and their children: Stephanie (George) and Adam; Wayne (Dena) and their son, Graham; and her step-daughter Janet and her children: Becky (James) and Serena (Nathan); three great-grandchildren: Charlie, Allison, and Ethan. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald of 41 years; a step-granddaughter, Sara; her parents; her brother, Kenneth (Jane) Forbeck; and two sisters, Anita (Raymond) Thyssen and Mary (Paul) Schmitz.
An abbreviated, funeral service will take place at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton, with Rev. Jim Fleming officiating. Friends and family may visit the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Community Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
