Jane E. Salentine

Jane Eileen Salentine, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Willow Lane Assisted Living in Appleton. She was born at home on August 11, 1934 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Otto and Margaret (Paschen) Dreger. On May 2, 1959 she married Gerald “Jerry” Salentine who preceded her in death on December 7, 2015, spending 56 years together. She met Jerry while working at Appleton Juvenile Furniture. Jane was a volunteer at St. Joseph Food Program on Wednesday for over 20 years. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Appleton.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Margaret Dreger; brother, Robert (Dorothy) Dreger; and brother-in-law, Carl (Ella) Salentine; father and mother-in-law, Clemens and Rose Salentine.

Funeral services for Jane will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the Star of Hope Mausoleum Chapel at Highland Memorial Park, with Pastor Lynn Martin officiating. Visitation will take place at the mausoleum from 10:30 am until the time of service. Burial will take place immediately following at Highland Memorial Park.
