James "Jim" E. Barber

James Edward Barber, age 68 of Menasha passed away on April 18, 2023 at Carolina Assisted Living Center, where he resided after a lengthy battle with liver disease.     James was born May 26, 1954 to Edward A. Jr. and Lorna (Rubbert) Barber in Appleton, Wisconsin. Jim grew up in Appleton and graduated from Appleton West High School in 1972.  He married Patricia M. Molenda on July 23, 1977 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London, WI. Jim worked at Miller Electric Mfg. Company for 44 years until his retirement in 2016. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends at his property up north by Lac Vieux Desert.

Jim is survived by his wife, Patty of Menasha, his sister, Beckie (Pastor Curt) Grube of Algoma, and his two brothers, Rick (Sue) Barber of Appleton, Robert Barber of Appleton, his sister in law Patti Molenda of New London. Nieces and nephews; Paul (Jennifer) Grube of Henderson, Nevada, Anna (Shane) Carr of Skull Valley, Arizona, Jennifer (Joseph) Krause of Iola, Jon (Michelle) Barber of Appleton and Jennifer (Brandon) Corcoran of La Crosse. Great nieces and nephews; Jack (fiancé Leah) Krause of Plover, Reagan Krause of Iola, Molly Corcoran and Erica Corcoran of La Crosse and Xavier Sylfest of Appleton.  Jim is also survived by numerous relatives and great friends.   Jim was preceded in death by his father Edward, mother Lorna, father and mother-in-law, Richard E. Sr. and Hazel Molenda, brother-in-law, Richard E. Molenda Jr., Grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives.

The visitation will be from 9:30am till the time of service, 11:00am at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 129 S. Mason St. Appleton, WI on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 with Pastor Jon Kuske and Pastor Curt Grube officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Manawa, WI

The family would like to thank the staff at Theda Clark Medical Center, Theda Care At Home staff, Theda Care At Home Hospice staff, the entire staff at Carolina Assisted Living Center, Care Patrol (Ann).   You have all been wonderful and we greatly appreciate each and every one of you for the care you gave to Jim.
