James Ronald Warrington, 85, passed away peacefully due to complications with COVID at Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Wisconsin on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. He was born in Olive Hill, Tennessee, November 15, 1936, the third child of four children born to Ernest and Chrystine (Beckham) Warrington. He was a quiet, faithful follower of Christ and dedicated provider to his family. He and Donna (Wohld) just recently celebrated 60 years of marriage in July of 2021.
Jim is survived by his wife Donna, four children: son Geff (Sandy), Arizona; son Scott, Plymouth, WI; daughter Becky (John) Mueller, Winneconne, WI; and son Cory, Appleton, WI; three grandchildren, Heather Combs, Charleston, South Carolina, Shaun (Morgan) Warrington, Charleston, South Carolina; and Timothy Warrington, State of Washington; and one great-granddaughter, Ella. Jim is further survived by siblings Virginia Tenney and Gary Lynn (Ann), sister-in-law Orien (Darrell) Kronberg, as well as several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents (Ernest and Chrystine Warrington) and Donna’s parents (Verona and Mary Wohld); his sibling: Bobbie Gene Warrington.
Jim worked as a millwright at Gilbert Paper Company in Menasha, WI for 40 years until he retired in 2001. He loved working in his garden, the outdoors, working puzzles, and had a passion for woodworking, making miniature tractors, trucks steamboats, and clocks. He loved sitting on his two-seated glider swing which he hand made, while watching the wildlife. He and Donna took several trips to Europe, Canada, the southern states, and an 8,000 mile trip out west.
A memorial service for Jim will be Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., at Mason Street Church of Christ, 2600 North Mason Street, Appleton 54914. There will be a small lunch provided after the service.
