James Seiler

James “Jim” D. Seiler, 57, Appleton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday October 3rd, 2021, with his family by his side.

A 1982 graduate of Oshkosh North High School, Jim went on to become an avid sports enthusiast and fan of many different music genres. He shared his great love of movies, comedy, golf, tennis and cribbage with countless friends and family members. Jim had a tremendous amount of affection for animals (especially his fur-buddy, Gunnar), the great outdoors, grilling and his “baby” – Dodge Ram truck. His efficiency and sensible personality made him a Master craftsman. He could fix anything from the kitchen sink to building your house, and then afterwards make the best margarita you’ve ever tasted.

Jim is survived by his mother; Judy (Bud), the Twinkles in his eyes – his two sons; Connor James (Mother- Keli) and Samuel “Sam” Dennis James (Mother – Karen), his brother Michael (Brenda) and his Special Love, Wendy Elmer. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Seiler.

A Memorial Service will be held at Valley Funeral Home on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Visitation will be from 4-6pm and service at 6pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at Appleton Bistro, 2729 N. Meade Street, Appleton.

In lieu of flowers a Memorial has been established in Jim’s name.

Speak of me as you have always done. Remember the good time, laughter and fun.

Share the happy memories we’ve made. Do not let them wither or fade.

I’ll be with you in the summer’s sun. And when the winter’s chill has come.

I’ll be the voice that whispers in the breeze. I’m peaceful now, put your mind at ease.

I’ve rested my eyes and gone to sleep. But memories we’ve shared are yours to keep.

Sometimes our final days may be a test, but remember me when I was at my best.

Although things may not be the same, don’t be afraid to use my name.

Let your sorrow last for just a while. Comfort each other and try to smile.

I’ve lived a life filled with joy and fun.
