Jackie Kitzis Obituary

Jacqueline “Jackie” Marie Kitzis, age 60, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Neenah on April 4, 1965, daughter of Bernie Meyer and Joan (Kellnhauser) Barribeau.

Jackie was a graduate of Menasha High School. She went on to work for Alcan Packaging, formerly American National Can for 22 years where she would meet her future husband, Mark.  Jackie and Mark were united in marriage on February 7, 2011 on the beach in Costa Rica and shared 17 wonderful years together.  Jackie discovered her love of travel with Mark after taking her on her first ever plane ride to Miami for a date in 2009.  Over the years, Jackie and Mark were able to travel across the world creating so many amazing memories and experiences with one another.

Jackie was a very creative woman and highlighted her talents for both gardening and interior design through her homes in Appleton and Naples, Florida.  She also had an eye for fashion and was the go-to person whenever anyone needed help putting an outfit together or finding the perfect accessory, purse or pair of shoes as a finishing touch.

Above all else, family was most important to Jackie and she cherished her time spent with her kids Matt and Emily, her grandson, Maverick, and her grand-niece, Cameron. Jackie’s nurturing soul also carried over to her love of animals, especially her cats: Lucky and Luke.  She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her and her memory will live on forever through her family.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Mark; mother, Joan (Dave) Barribeau; children: Matthew Jakl, Emily (Andy) Vandusen, Matthew Kitzis, and Nathan (Cheryl Duncanson) Kitzis; grandson, Maverick Kitzis; siblings: Brad (Debbie) Meyer, Brian Meyer; step-siblings: grand-niece, Cameron Vandermoss; Missy (Matt) Bent, Corey Meyer, and Brent (Trina) Meyer; sister-in-law, Jamie (Bruce) Hague; and brother-in-law, Gregg (Annette Cohen) Kitzis.

She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother: Bernie and Cheryl Lynn Meyer.
