Hubert J. Germiat

Hubert Joseph Germiat (Hub) died on November 5, 2024, at Rennes Health and Rehab Center in Appleton. He was born in Green Bay to Arthur and Irene (Cleerman) Germiat on July 7, 1931. He grew up in Green Bay and graduated from Central Catholic High School (now Notre Dame Academy), and then Saint Norbert’s College with a baccalaureate degree in Chemistry. He served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force, including 21 months in Okinawa, during the Korean War. He worked as a research associate for American Can Company (later acquired by James River Corporation) for his entire career. Hub loved to fish, and always looked forward to annual summer trip to Cedarwild Resort in Deer River, Minnesota.  He is survived by his wife Barbara, his sons Tom and Steve, 5 grandchildren (Ayron, Adam, Jason, Hannah, Emily) and two great grandchildren (Arya and Maverick). He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary, and his son Dick.
