Henry Célange Numa, 77, of Appleton, WI, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025. Born on January 27, 1947, in Camp-Perrin, Haiti. Henry was a devoted father of 16 children. He is survived by 12 of them: Patrick Numa, Jasmine Numa, Marie Florette Numa, Benato Numa, Jean-Mary Azolin, Florette Merzier-Numa, Bertrand Numa, Marie Edrelle Alexandre, Rose-Myrtha Numa, Edeline Numa, Assenal Numa, and Enold Henry Numa. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Lucette Jackson; his half-siblings: Aline, Mireille, Margarette, Rosemaine, Susanne, Elor, Odette, Celor, and Rodney; 22 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
Henry was a longtime resident of Camp-Perrin, Haiti. He was a farmer, a merchant, and a general laborer. Throughout his life, he was known for his tireless work ethic, generosity, and kindness. Henry was a people person, and his warm spirit and selflessness left a lasting impression on all who knew him. In 2018, Henry made the courageous decision to immigrate to the United States with his youngest son, seeking new opportunities and a brighter future.
Henry found peace and joy in nature and cherished time spent with his friends and family. He also enjoyed a good grog.
Henry will be remembered with love, admiration, and gratitude by all who knew him.
