Gregory D. Engel

Gregory D Engel, 65, passed away on June 19, 2026.  Greg was born in Appleton on March 4, 1961 to James and Patricia (Diedrich) Engel and raised in Stockbridge with his eight brothers and sisters and graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1979.  Greg than joined the US Air Force and spent 22 years serving in Germany, California, Florida and the state of Washington, where he retired to and made his home until his death. 

Greg is survived by his father James Engel, sisters; Julie (Duane) Zahn, Mary Jo (Keith) Glass, Tina (Brad) Burg, brothers; Jeff (Celia), Dan (Rhonda), Tony, and Todd and his step daughter, Yvonne and Kirston Cooms, sister-in-law Shane, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The funeral mass for Greg will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 11:30a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St., Appleton.  A time of visitation will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church from 9:30 until 11:15 at Church.  For online condolences please visit www.valleyfh.com.
