Germaine Bartel Obituary

Germaine Bartel, of Appleton, age 96 passed away on September 6th, 2021. She was born June 4th 1925 to the late Herbert and Esther Goerl. Germaine was married to Arden Bartel on February 20th, 1943.

She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church of Appleton. Germaine enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, making quilts, playing cards and baking pies.

Germaine is survived by one son Byron and one daughter, Carol Sloan and son in law, Hugh, five grandchildren; Todd (Brenda) Bartel, Chad (Pattie), Shelbi (Ron) Ross, Eric Sloan and Kevin Sloan, four great grandchildren; Zachary (Maggie) Bartel, Elizabeth Bartel, Taylor and Jordan Ross and one great-great-grandchild, Lillian Bartel as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arden, son, Gary, daughter, Judy, daughter in law Dawn Bartel and Sister Elaine Scott.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Gardens of Fountain Way and Theda Care at home and hospice for their compassionate care.

Private graveside services were held at Highland Memorial Park.
