Gerald W. Wilhelme, 92, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 after fighting a short battle with lung cancer. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Jerry was born in Oshkosh on March 10, 1933 to Ward and Dorothy (Purdy) Wilhelme. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1952-1955. On September 24, 1955 he married his soulmate Evelyn “Evie” M. Fenner. They lived in Appleton, Milwaukee and Bullhead City, Arizona. Jerry enjoyed camping with family and friends, metal detecting, and visiting the casino with his wife. In the 1970’s, he and Evie chaperoned the Americanos Drum and Bugle Corps. Jerry loved the Packers and Brewers. He enjoyed going to Prime Time on Thursday to meet his friends. He went skydiving at 90 yrs old to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. He also donated to various charitable organizations. Most important to Jerry was family. Times they spent together will always be cherished.
Jerry is survived by his daughters Kathleen (Peter) Stelow, Diane (special friend Mike) Edwards and Suzanne (Jerry) Perzentka, a daughter-in-law, Mari Wilhelme, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, sisters; Barb Hunsicker and Judy Baker, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Evie, sons; Jeff, Steve and Michael, and his brother William ‘Bill’.
