Gayle A Johnson, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. She was born on May 9, 1936.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Gayle lived almost 30 years, of her just shy of 90, in Bellingham, Washington. She loved it there but was glad to be back "home" in Wisconsin near her family. She was an accomplished seamstress. She also enjoyed her Coy ponds, gardening, flowers, rug hooking, quilting and all manner of knick-knacks. Gayle LOVED a good dog!! And there were many in her lifetime, each and every one holding a special place in her heart. Over her last 16 years, she sponsored many rescue dogs' adoptions for family pets.
Gayle is survived by her daughters; Kristi (Dean) Kiley and Pam Wilde, son, Jeff Tamblingson; sister, Katie (Morrie) Hansen, also 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaylord and Margarite Hauger, brothers; Robert and Richard (Dee) Hauger, sister, Marlene (John) Zei and son-in-law Chuck Wilde.
As her kids we are honoring Mom's request for "no fuss, no service". A casual gathering is in planning stage; date and location to be determined. In lieu of flowers a donation to your local animal shelter or rescue would be appreciated. For online condolences, please visit www.valleyfh.com.
