Gary M. Huettner

Gary M. Huettner, age 68, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at his home. He was born on September 11, 1956 in Appleton to the late Martin and Evelyn (Pelkey) Huettner.

It was very evident throughout Gary’s life that he loved his country, family, and music. At the age of 26, he enlisted into the Navy and proudly served his country for 20 years. From having cookouts with his kids and grandkids and fishing with his son, to attending EAA or the WIR concerts with them; he enjoyed anything centered on spending quality family time. Gary had a love for music. In his younger years he played drums in a band with his brother, Dan. In his later years he learned how to play guitar thanks to Guitars 4 Vets and eventually he taught other veterans how to play.

Gary is survived by his children: Brian (Niki) Huettner, Melissa Huettner, Raymond Huettner; grandchildren: Austin, Lance, Destiny, Noah, Hunter; brother, Dan (Deb) Huettner and numerous other family and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N Richmond Street, Appleton with Rev. Mike Huff officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday from 3:00 pm until the time of service.
