Gary P. Hendrickson

Gary P. Hendrickson, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born in Appleton on February 22, 1960 to the late Merle and Patricia (Schmidt) Hendrickson.

Gary enjoyed fishing and made several fishing pilgrimages to Minnesota. He was a fisherman through and through – not just of walleyes and perch, but of stories, laughter, and fun. Gary was a true jokester whose sarcasm was an art form, timing impeccable, and his ability to make you laugh when you least expected it – or wanted it – was unmatched. He also enjoyed taking trips to Mexico. He found his second home and chosen family at the Apple Pub where the stories got taller, laughs got louder, and everyone knew his name. To know him was to know love, laughter, and maybe a little mischief.

Gary is survived by his children: Jeffrey (Amy Zimmerman) Hendrickson, Debbie (Luke) Grix, Laura Webb; grandchildren: Austin Hendrickson, Kyria (Fiancé, Ethan Reetz) Hendrickson, Maddie Hendrickson, Nolan Grix, Bennett Grix, Kinley Webb; great grandson, Kane Reetz; and siblings: Steve (Barb) Hendrickson, John (Barb) Hendrickson, Cheryl (Todd) Dreger.

No formal services will be held at this time.
