Garnet Lehrer, age 100, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. She was born in Appleton on December 23, 1921 to the late Matt and Lily (Koeller) Lenhart. On October 1, 1947 she married Clement Lehrer; he preceded her in death on July 7, 2004. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was a longtime member of St. Thomas More Catholic Parish. Garnet was a loving wife, and mother, her life consisted of making her family happy.
She is survived by her daughters; Judith (Ronald) Wruck and Patricia (Dennis) De Groot, grandchildren; Todd (Rachel) Gauthier, Steven (Cathleen) Kabat, Jennifer (Nelson) Aragon, John De Groot and Alex (Julia) De Groot, step grandchildren; Camie Mader and Douglas Wruck, great grandchildren; Leah (Zach) Baker, Aaron (Anna) Gauthier, Silas and Ayla Kabat, Nathan and Isaac Aragon, and Melody De Groot, in the hopper. Garnet is further survived by great great grandchildren; Silas, Emerson and Ezra, step great grandchildren; Nicole Virant, Jessica Frisby, Stephanie Folts, Courtney Wruck, step great great grandchildren Eloise, Amelia, Penelope, Alina, Jayden, Owen and Lillie. Also, two sisters June May Dorin and Joyce Lenhart survive, as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Clement, daughter Joan Kabat, siblings; Milton Lenhart, Gladys (Donald) Lenz, Violet (Robert) Grissman, Beulah Cumber, Matt (Karen) Lenhart, Susan (David) Petznick, Wilbert Lenhart and Leroy Lenhart.
In keeping with Garnet’s wishes, private family services were held.
