Frank Allen Rhodes, 63, of Appleton, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026, finding peace with his family by his side. He was born August 6, 1962, in Maywood, California, the son of James and Angelina (Ruiz) Rhodes, and spent most of his childhood living in the Pacific Northwest. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran, having served as a tank operator in Germany. After returning from service, Frank began his career as a truck driver for most of his life and took great pride in his work.
Throughout his life, nothing was more important to Frank than his family. The love he showed each day was truly wholehearted. Frank never let anyone leave without a hug and an “I love you”, gave little ear flicks with a smile, and for a lucky few, even gifted them a nickname or two. In his spare time, Frank enjoyed watching the Packers and going on Harley rides. At home, evenings were spent building model cars. He treasured weekends Up North, hunting, fishing, camping, and going on UTV rides, with the best part of the day reserved for relaxing by the campfire.
Frank is survived by his wife, Jeanne Rhodes of 30 years; children: Travis (Gacia) Rhodes, Brandon (Lexey) Vezzoso, Amy (Jed) Sprangers, Gina Gerrits, and Tim (Heather) Gerrits; grandchildren: Arek, Matias, Aria, Calla, Parker, Ash (Joey), Spencer, Max, Zayda, Ethan, Masen (Pam), Megan, and Morgan; great grandchildren: Reylee, Kylo, Moana, and Rita; further survived by his mother, Angie Rhodes; brothers: Jim Rhodes, Sal Rhodes, Jerry (Theresa) Rhodes, Robert (Janet) Rhodes, and a sister, Loretta (Vince “Ben”) Olivarez.
He was preceded in death by his father, James; a son, David; a brother, Larry; a grandson, Delbert; and grandparents: Richard, Estha, Salvador, and Vera.
