Esther Endres Obituary

On Monday, April 4, 2022, Esther passed away peacefully. Esther has been reunited with her husband, Tom.

Esther, the third of fourteen children, was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to Grace and Anthony Plaski. She attended PJ Jacobs Catholic School and began working for Sentry Insurance and continued to work in insurance with high level accounts for more than 45 years. She retired in 2013.

Esther met Tom in 1968, and they married on July 10, 1972, in Menominee, MI. After their romantic honeymoon at the Peshtigo Fire Museum, they settled in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Chad and Sarah will remember Esther’s strength, how she would persevere through anything, her quick wit, and loving heart. Esther was also fast with math, and had a lot of luck with cards and gambling. Esther’s special granddaughters, Molly and Lucy, will remember sleepovers at her house, her coming over during school late-starts and taking them and their friends out for breakfast, and going to the camper with her. Esther was also an amazing mother-in-law. Doug and Lisa will always remember her as a second mom, fiercely loyal, honest, and most of all, loving.

For the past ten years, Esther spent most of the summer in Stevens Point with her sisters Marge, Pat, and Lori at the campground, enjoying each other’s company. Morning coffee klatch, sitting outside playing cards, and talking sassy was a daily tradition.

Esther is survived by her children: Chad (Lisa) Endres, Sarah (Doug) Gantner; granddaughters: Molly Endres and Lucy Endres; siblings: Chet (Joyce) Plaski, Sam (Tammy) Plaski, Adeline (Bob) Zificsak, Kathy Mrozinski, Pat (Larry) Mayek, Marge (Duane) Schuster, Anthony (J.R.) Plaski, Ed (Sharon) Plaski, Janice (Mike) Kruziki, Leroy (Tina) Plaski, Lenny (Jeanette) Plaski, Lori (John) Omernik, brother-in-law Fred Zificsak; and goddaughters: Chris Goretski and Kayla DuVall.

Esther is preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Anthony, her husband Tom Endres, her sister Florence (Fred) Zificsak, and her brother-in-law Kenneth Mrozinski.
