Edmund C. Miller, 83, of Black Creek, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Ed was born on April 24, 1942, to Edmund A. and Irma (Boers) Miller in Appleton. On April 23, 1965, he was united in marriage to Barbara Guyette. They enjoyed 48 wonderful years together, until her death in 2013. He served in the Army National Guard. Ed worked for Matthews Tire as a mechanic for over 45 years until his retirement. He liked trap shooting and hunting, deer hunting in the same place for over 60 years. Ed was happiest at the cabin in Fence, WI where he enjoyed watching and feeding all the wildlife that would visit. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandson Tyler.
Ed is survived by his children; Tina (Jeffrey) Vanden Bloomer, Ed (Renee) Miller, April (Travis) Baeten, grandson Tyler Baeten, siblings; Marjorie Barber and David (Julie Jansen) Miller, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Bonnie Guyette, Randy (Pam) Guyette, Donna Guyette, and Steve and (Brenda) Guyette, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, and step mom Ruth Miller, his wife Barbara, sisters; Nancy (James) Brunette and Carol Miller, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Jerry Guyette, Clifford Barber, Beverly (Jerry) Hostettler Tom Guyette and Peggy Guyette.
The funeral service for Ed will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St. Appleton. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
