Duane "Spencer" Gajsiewicz

Duane “Spencer” Gajsiewicz, 73, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on August 7, 2026 at ThedaCare in Neenah, WI.

Spence was kind, selfless and always the life of the party.  He had an energy that drew people in and made people want to be near him.  He had the biggest heart.  Spencer was a hard worker, thoughtful and easy-going, always taking a back seat to others needs.  He was fiercely proud of his kids and grandkids and had only recently moved to WI to be closer to family and friends in Wisconsin and northeast Michigan.  He enjoyed watching all sports, especially Michigan football and basketball, the Detroit Lions, and golf.  He was a fastidious cleaner and washed windows until there were no streaks to be seen.

He is survived by his wife, Melodie Redies of Ft. Collins, CO, daughter and son-in law Kerri & Aaron Springborn, son and daughter in law, Matthew and Karina Grant, his 2 grandchildren, Cylas and Maddox Grant, and his four legged buddy George.  He also leaves behind sisters Joann Franckowiak, Carla (Lee) Grulke, brothers Neal Gajsiewicz and Gary (Cyndy) Gajsiewicz, several nieces, nephews and his ex-wife and friend, Sandy Grant.  In heaven, Spence joins his parents, Alex and Clara (Wozniak) Gajsiewicz, brother in law Jerry Franckowiak, good buddy Duck Wisniewski, and son and best friend, Mark Alex Gajsiewicz.

Spencer will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s cemetery in Greenville next to his son Mark.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
