Dr. Uri Vaisman passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on March 18th, 1943, in Haifa, Israel. Uri was the beloved husband of Dorothy Vaisman “Ketz” for 33 cherished years. His unconditional love for her was felt by all who knew them.
He lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to his family.
A devoted Physician in the field of Radiology, Dr. Vaisman attended the State University of New York where he received his Doctor of Medicine in 1974 and then became a board-certified Radiologist in 1978. Dr. Vaisman began and ended his career in the great State of Wisconsin. He dedicated nearly 50 years to a practice he loved., where he was highly respected for his integrity, wisdom, compassion, and attention to detail for the patients he cared for. Many of whom stayed in touch through letters and kind conversations over the years. Beyond his professional life, Uri had a passion for soccer, movies, great books, and history. He was also a life-long learner, always sharing his knowledge with his children and grandchildren.
Above all, Uri treasured his family. He was a proud father and an adoring grandfather. His greatest joy came from spending time with them, whether it was traveling, sharing stories around the dinner table, playing chess, attending school events, or having spirited debates, Uri cherished his interactions with his family.
Uri is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; his children: Kalie Vaisman, Alan (Tali) Vaisman, Kelly (Aaron) Otto, Jennifer Vaisman, Katie (Gary) Humphrey; his twelve grandchildren: Jacob Vaisman, Talia (Seth) Rottier, Kaeleigh Rice (Ryan Mongan), Avi Selig, Ella Rice, Carmel Vaisman, Rebekah Vaisman-Spear, Easton Rice, Harel Vaisman, Quinn Humphrey, AJ Otto, Ryder Humphrey; his one great-grandchild, Camden Rottier. He is also survived by sister Hannah Ambar and her children Danny (Ginny) and Jonathan (Sam), and brother and sister-in-law Randy and Kathy Fulfer and their children Josh (Angie) Fulfer and Beth Fulfer. He was preceded in death by Parents' Jacob and Cila Vaisman and his brother in-law Joseph Ambar.
A Celebration of Life for Dr. Vaisman will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Valley Funeral Home - Greenville/Hortonville (N1858 Greenville Dr., Greenville). Friends and family will gather at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Uri’s memory to Simon Wiesenthal Center and Hillel International.
Uri's warmth, wisdom, and boundless love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
