Dorothy H (Baier) Glaser

Dorothy H. Glaser, age 92 of Appleton, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born in Oconomowoc Wisconsin to the late Louis and Edna (Nass) Baier on December 11, 1930. Part of a big family, she was one of ten kids; she went on to have her own 11. On March 3, 1961 she married Orville Glaser and he preceded her in death on August 22, 1993.  Dorothy worked at the Golden Griddle in the Valley Fair Mall for several years, and in retirement, she worked for Copps on Wisconsin Ave. In her spare time, she enjoyed furniture restoration including reupholstering. Dorothy also enjoyed shopping and above all, she loved her 11.

She is survived by her children; Rick (Carol) Wilson, Debra (Bob) Bell, John Wilson, Cindy (Jerry Bernetzke) Wilson, Connie (Jim) Harrell, Clint (Maureen) Glaser, Robin Esbona, Brandin (Quentyn Young) Kingsly, Shannon Fonder, Scott Glaser and step-son Gary (Delores) Glaser, grandchildren; Dawn (Lee) Morales, Jackie (Mark) Abrahamson, Jessica (Jesse) Robinson, Niki Wilson, Cory Bernetzke, Jeremy, Amanda and Grey (Rochelle) Harrell, Derek, Sam and Miriam Glaser, Tanya (Ty) Cornelius, Sam kapal, Bailey Esbona, Matthew Fonder and Skylar Douglas. Dorothy is further survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Orville, daughter, Karen Jones, and her brothers and sisters; Harold (Delora) Baier, Raymond (Lorraine) Baier, Robert (Bernice) Baier, Eugene (Margie) Baier, Irene (Edward) Schmidt, Kenneth (Laurel) Baier, Howard (Helen) Baier, Dolores (Robert) Schroeder and Earl (Darlene) Baier.

Family and friends may gather on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St. Appleton for a visitation beginning at 1:00PM until 3:00PM when a memorial service will be held at the funeral home.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Brewster Village for all of the compassionate care given to Dorothy these last few years.  The family would also like to thank Asera Care Hospice for their wonderful care given towards Dorothy for the last 2 years, they would especially like to thank Nurse Kayla for her extra special care, she was moms rock.
