Dorothy J. Gallow

Dorothy Jane (Vogels) Gallow, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 in Appleton, WI. She was born on September 4, 1940 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton to William and Christine (Hermans) Vogels.

Dorothy attended Holy Cross Grade School and was a graduate of Kaukauna High School Class of 1958. She worked at F.W. Woolworth for 14 years and she was also employed at Kmart in Appleton for over 24 years. Dorothy married Ralph Gallow on January 21, 1972 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville. They spent many loving years together until his passing in August of 2023. She loved her church, baking, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

Dorothy is survived by her sisters: Marlene Voissem and Sharon (Ken) Koester; brother, Bob (Margie) Vogels; brothers and sisters-in-law: Al (Mary) Gallow, Philip (Barb) Gallow; Mona Schaefer; and Chuck Cleary; and special friend, Cheryl Seelow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her parents; in-laws: Gertrude and Leo Gallow; sister: Laverne (Clyde) Howard; sister-in-law, Donna Cleary; and her brothers-in-law: Francis Voissem and Charles Schaefer.

A memorial service for Dorothy will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 752 E. Grand View Rd., Hortonville.
