Donald O. Hannemann of Appleton, age 90, passed away on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021. He was born on September 29th, 1931, son of Paul and Emma (Heckel) Hannemann. Donald joined the National Guard while still in high school in 1947. He graduated from Appleton High School in 1951 remaining in the National Guard until 1953 when he opted to join the U.S. Army and serve during the Korean Conflict. Don was a member of the American Legion Post #38. He also served as Past Master in the Masonic Lodge 349. After service, Don was hired by Ma Bell (Wisconsin Telephone Company) and worked there until retirement forty-two years later.
Donald Married Claudia Wynen in 1954. During their marriage they had three children. On December 3, 1976 Donald married Yvonne Immel Kasper, becoming stepfather to her five children. This year would have marked their 45th year together.
Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling the country with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid Badger, Packer, and Brewer fan. Still cheering for a Brewer Pennant!
Don was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert, sister in law Joan, step brother Mike, nephew Peter, and stepdaughter Marie.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne, his children Donell (Robert Bouwman) Delveaux, Chris (Jana) Hannemann, Darrin (Lisa) Hannemann, John (Geri) Kasper, William (Mary) Kasper, Jim Kasper, and Grace Kasper. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
