Denise M. Milner, 66, passed away peacefully at her home on June 29, 2025, after a brave battle with brain cancer and surgery complications.
Denise was born on December 16, 1958 to Darrell and Bobbie Dilley in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and grew up in Appleton. On June 8, 1991 she was united in marriage to Mark Milner in a Marine ceremony on June 8, 1991 at Camp Pendleton, CA. They spent many years in California before returning to Wisconsin. Denise had many interests, an Avid Green Bay Packer fan, Nascar racing, traveling and going to casinos. She also had many jobs, from events organizer at Tracers Enlisted Club, bartender to Scentsy Rep. among other jobs. Denise’s greatest occupation was being a wife, mother and Nana and the times she spent with her family will always be treasured.
Denise is survived by her husband Mark, three daughters; Melissa Nixon, Kaukauna, Kristina (Scott) Millies, Honolulu HI, and Rebecca Ball, Washington State, step children; Martin (Jennifer) Milner and Karrissa Milner,WI. Grandchildren; Seth, Chloe, Corbynn, Kaedyn, Kourtney, Kaylee, Kaci, Haleigh, Savanna, Sarena, and Faith, A great grandson Aslan and Lucas who is on the way, a sister Tracy (Scott) Ollie, a brother Darrell (Debra) Dilley, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Denise was preceded in death by her parents, and a nephew Jason.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. For online condolences please visit www.valleyfh.com.
