David "Dave" L Shukoski

David L. Shukoski, 77, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on April 13, 2026.   Dave was born on March 1, 1949 to Hillard and Eleanor (Dziamarski) Shukoski in Neenah.  On November 6, 1970 he was united in marriage to Christine Houterman.  David graduated from Menasha High School in 1967. He was employed for a short time at Laydwell Floors and later at Hayes Mfg. until his retirement. He retained and cherished friendships with his fellow co-workers.

David loved sports, excelling in baseball, basketball and softball. Many hours were spent on his miniature golf course on the shores of Lake Winnebago. He loved his home on the lake with occasional trips to the casino as enjoyable getaways.

Dave is survived by his wife of 55 years, Christine, 2 daughters; Chanda Shukoski, and Krysta Shukoski, a grandson Atlee David, siblings; Vern (Gail) Shukoski, and Sharon (Jeff) Roso, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Gloria (Lenny) Buksyk, William (Claudia) Houterman, Laura (Paul) Flunker, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Carol Tiglas, Robert Shukoski, Richard Shukoski, and a brother-in-law Richard (Sally) Houterman.  

The funeral service for Dave will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton.
