David J. Rehfeldt, 65, Appleton, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family Sunday, February 8, 2026. He was born May 2, 1960, son of Robert and Dorothy (Steffens) Rehfeldt. Dave loved all things sports, from watching the Packers to the Brewers, and then the Badgers or Bucks; he lived for the game, “It’s a way of life”. Every year he threw a big Packer party and entertained all of his family and friends for the game.
Beyond sports, Dave was a supportive father and never missed an event. He enjoyed biking in his earlier years and put on some serious miles biking all over town. Dave's fury companions Bandit and Riley were so important to him; he did almost anything for those dogs. He was employed by Zebra Technologies for many years until his retirement in 2023.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Kim; daughters: Ashlee (Matthew) Weber and Bryanna (Keith) Riner; grandsons: Takoda, Traeh, Ty and Reid; a brother, Bob (Carol) Rehfeldt; a sister, Cindy (Ed) Sypek; a nephew, Nick; a niece, Jenny; a sister-in-law, Becky (Robin); a brother-in-law, Mike (Susan); other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Rehefeldt, sisters-in-law: Patti (Tim), Samantha, and brother-in-law, Jim.
