David Ottman, age 67, of Greenville passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 in his favorite place, his deer hunting stand. Dave grew up in Neenah and attended Neenah Schools. He worked at Neenah Foundry for ten years and proclaimed to be “the greatest forklift driver ever.” He founded Badger Seamless Gutters in 1996 and proudly operated it until his retirement in 2023.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathryn; two sons: Daniel (Kimberly) Ottman; parents of his sweet granddaughter, Evelyn; and Cory (Alex) Ottman. He is further survived by four siblings: Tom (Patti) Jury, Joe Jr. (Linda) Ottman, Chuck Jury, and Connie (Drew) Wasinger. Other survivors include his parents-in-law, Ken and JoAnn Heuring; siblings-in-law: David Heuring, Ann (Eric) Moen, Jane (Paul) Zimmerman, and John (Tracy) Heuring; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Dave was preceded in death by his mother Carol (Griedl) Jury; father, Joe Ottman Sr.; stepfather, Alvin Jury; brother, John Ottman; and nephew, Jesse Ottman.
A Christian Funeral Service for Dave will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church (410 W. Lawrence St., Appleton). Friends and family will gather at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Iola Fire Department & Ambulance Service in Dave's honor.
