Darla Mae (Dietsche) Bunno Chesney

Darla Mae Bunno Chesney, age 82, passed away on November 13, 2023, at Prairie Home Assisted Living, Menasha, WI. Darla was born in Johnson, Wisconsin on October 16, 1941, to the late Edwin and Mildred (Behr) Dietsche.

Darla loved to spend time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her dachshund dogs. She enjoyed shopping and going to car shows, especially with her late husband Leonard. Darla was an exceptional hairdresser and helped Ollie with his staining business. When Ollie passed away, Darla returned to school and became owner operator of the business.

Darla is survived by her step-kids Mike (Theresa) Chesney, Debbie (Russ) Elworth, and Eric Chesney, grandchildren; Tylor (Nicole) Bunno, Courtney (Taylor) Dohr, Luke (Amber) Morrison, Jake (Hannah) Morrison and Gunner Elworth, and great grandchildren Chloe, Molly, Jacey, June, Owen, Leo, Luna, and Valentina. She is further survived by her brother, Floyd (Ann) Dietsche as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Ollie Bunno, second husband Leonard Chesney, children Christopher Bunno, OJ Bunno, and by 15 brothers and sisters.

Family and friends may gather on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton beginning at 1:00pm until the time of the service at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Prarie Homes as well as Preceptor Hospice. Your care of Darla was outstanding.
