I didn't see him close his eyes or hear his last sigh.
I only heard that he was gone, too late to say goodbye.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Daniel Allen Schilter was born to Darlene Ellen Schilter and Albert Donald Schilter on January 9, 1956. He passed away on November 9, 2017 in the presence of loved ones. As a boy he grew up in the small City of Prairie Du Chien, WI. He had a wonderful imagination, big dreams, and amazing talents in both art and music. He spent the happiest years of his life in California with his family. His children were his pride and joy. He was also an animal lover. In his later years his dog Lani traveled with him to Wisconsin. The last years of his life were spent in Appleton near his sisters, brother, and other extended family. He always wanted to go back to California. Now his soul flies free and he can be wherever he wants to be.
He is survived by his daughters Rebecca Schilter, Jessica Schilter, their mother Theresa Schilter, and many other family members.
Gone too soon, but always in our hearts.
I love you forever and always Uncle Dan.
