Concetta Polcaro Obituary

Concetta (Noviello) Polcaro passed away peacefully at her home, on Saturday February 6, 2021, with her family by her side. Concetta was born in Montefalcione, Italy on March 14, 1925, the daughter of Alfonso and Maria (Baldassare) Noviello. In 1960 Concetta married Giuseppe Polcaro and the two immigrated to the United States in 1962 and settled in the Boston area where they raised their family. They had two children Joseph and RoseMarie and shared 52 years of marriage together. She was a wonderful mother and devoted wife. Concetta mostly took care of the home and children but later in life worked as a seamstress and for Viking Seafood. Some of Concetta’s hobbies included cooking, reading, writing letters to family members in Italy, and spending time with her children and grandchildren who were the love of her life. Concetta was a kind, wonderful, fun loving friend to many. She was the personification of love, warmth, care and self-giving. She had a generous heart and was kind to all she met. She loved being active in her church and was a proud member of “La Societa Filantropica di Montefalcione”.


Concetta is survived by her children Joseph Polcaro and his wife MaryAlice of St. Louis MO, Rose Marie Milani and her husband John of Appleton WI, her Grandchildren Lauren, Kaitlyn, Michael, Joseph John and Nicholas, her siblings Pina Mauriello of Italy, Carmela D’Amore of Italy, Geatano Noviello of Italy, Imperio Noviello of Italy and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Giuseppe Polcaro, her siblings Antonio Noviello, Ersila DeVito and Amalia Ciampa.


Visitation will be held at The Weir– MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, MA on Friday February 12th from 4-8. Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home 144 Salem St, Malden on Saturday, February 13th at 8:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 9:00am with entombment to follow at the Holy Cross Mausoleum.


The family would like to make a heartfelt thank you to ThedaCare Home Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion. A special thank you to her Primary Doctor Orlando Taleon and her Hospice Primary Nurse Amber for the special care and kindness they both showed our Mom.
