Coleen Ann (Fisher) Cox

Coleen Cox, age 76 passed away on May 12, 2025 at Country Villa Assisted Living in Pulaski, WI.  

Coleen Ann Cox was born on December 26th, 1948 in Beloit, WI.  She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School and then attended Swedish American School of Nursing and graduated as a registered Nurse. Coleen spent most of her career in the hospital labor & delivery department in her hometown of Beloit, WI but also worked as a nurse in Madison WI, Oklahoma City OK, Rockford IL, and Cedar Rapids, IA.  Coleen was very creative and enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing, jewelry-making, and many others crafts.  She was always happiest when teaching or sharing these activities with others.

A celebration of life event is being planned to be held near Cedar Rapids Iowa sometime this summer.

Coleen is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Betty Fisher, her former husband Merle Cox, step son Benjamin Cox, and step grandson Hunter Kuipers.

She is survived by her sister Mary (Rob) McLennan, nephews Colin (Katie) McLennan and Logan (Brittany) McLennan, step son TIm Cox, step daughter Stephanie Chappell (friend Matt Lee), and step daughter Jennifer (Brett) Morris.  Coleen also enjoyed spending time with her step grandchildren and her nephew's daughters.

Coleen made friends everywhere she lived and many became lifelong friends such as Shirlee Powell, Donna Lubben, Nancy Lewis, and Irene Drake.

Coleen's family is so thankful for the loving staff of Country Villa Assisted Living in Pulaski and the excellent care she received from St Croix Hospice.
