Cheryl Lynn (Swalby) Novak

Cheryl Lynn Novak (Swalby), 56, of Appleton, died Monday July 2, 2018 after a long battle with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). She was born December 27, 1961 in Butler, PA, daughter of Judy (Hepler), later adopted by Sam Swalby.  Cheryl married John Novak on April 28, 1989.

Cheryl graduated from Appleton West High School in 1979; she went on to receive her Master’s of Science Degree in Education from UW-Oshkosh in 1985. Attending music concerts and spending time at her cottage boating were some of Cheryl’s favorite pastimes. She was an avid game and puzzle player. Spending time with her family and friends is what Cheryl enjoyed the most.

Cheryl was a loving and beloved wife, mother and friend. She will forever be remembered by her husband John; daughter Andrea Novak; mother; two brothers; and countless other family and friends.

A celebration for Cheryl will be held on Thursday July 12, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the smaller shelter in Plamann Park, 1375 E Broadway Drive, Appleton. Cheryl touched the lives of many people with her smile, sharp wit and easy laughter. She will be dearly missed.
