Charles Benson Munyan, Jr. passed from this life on October 3, 2021 as a result of Covid. Charlie was born July 4, 1966 to Charles Munyan, Sr. and Dolores (Hoops).
Charlie lived in Japan for three years and loved the Japanese culture. He spent eight years as a Tour Guide and traveled the world extensively. He was currently Teaching English as a Second Language online. It was a delight to listen to him interacting with his students and was loved by them all.
Charlie was united in marriage to the love of his life, Donna Mae Schirmacher Becker, on October 11, 2008. Together they had many adventures including ziplining, parasailing, hot air ballooning, hiking, exploring waterfalls, snowshoeing, and sightseeing (especially Michigan). He was a true blue Michigander born and bred.
Charlie is survived by his wife Donna, his father, Charles (Rose) Munyan, Sr., his mother, Dolores Hodge and his siblings: Patti (Rodney) Bruneau, Marti (Richard) Thiel, Melodie (Mike) Griffin, Monica (Steve) Clare, Michelle (Brad) Gillies, Hannah (Mike) Evans, Summer Davis, Chelsea (Dave) Kerr, Benson (Ally) Munyan, Spencer (Maren) Munyan and 21 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and –nephews, 6 step-children: Kristine (Donny) Coumbe, Todd (Jessica) Becker, Angela (Jeff) Hohneke, Zachary (Roni) Vakirtzis, Wade (Elizabeth) Becker, Bethany (Brian) Leigh, and “Grampy” to 16 step-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by: a sister, Melissa Munyan, fraternal and maternal grandparents and step-father, John Hodge.
A service celebrating Charlie’s life will be held on Saturday, October 9th, at 6:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 115 Castle Oak Drive in Neenah, WI.
