Carol M. Rohm, 87, of Appleton, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Ridgeview Highlands in Appleton, where she had resided since 2001. Carol was born November 25, 1933 in Black Creek, WI to Herbert and Eunice Mailahn.
Carol graduated from Seymour High School in 1951. She married Gerald Rohm on August 14, 1954 and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1996. She worked at Zwicker Knitting Mills for 10 years and in the culinary food service at Fox Valley Technical College for 17 years.
She loved to play sheepshead and make jam for her friends, listening to polkas and watching the Packers. She also loved the Meals on Wheels program. Carol was also an avid AWA Wrestling fan back in the day.
Carol is survived by her daughters Lori (Dan) Van Linn and Kathy (Terry) Kraus; granddaughter Danielle (Lance) Kroncke and great granddaughter, Lily Kroncke and great grandson Landyn Kroncke.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald; her parents, Herbert and Eunice Mailahn; sister Yvonne (Ken) O’Brien; brother Robert and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 at 12pm at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond Street, Appleton, WI. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11am until the 12pm service. Pastor Leon Knitt will be officiating. Burial will be at the Mausoleum at Highland Memorial Park.
