Cal R. Ludvigsen, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton surrounded by family. He was born on August 17, 1962, in Appleton to the late Harold and Adeline (Walsh) Ludvigsen.
Cal was a free spirit and it shown through his love of hard rock music, cars, motorcycles, and tattoos. He was always right there to help others when needed and you knew he was on his way because you could hear his music before you would see his car pull up. Cal enjoyed cars as long as it was not a Ford and could be found at the Iola and Appleton Pierce Park Car Shows each year. Cal was a veteran and proudly served his country as a US Marine.
Cal is survived by his sisters: Phyllis (Dan) Jankowski, Barbara “Barb” Ludvigsen, Karen (Xavier Thompson) Ludvigsen; nieces: Chrisee (Roy) Routhieaux, Jen Jankowski, Laura (Eric) Schmick, Sarah Jankowski, Lexi (Lonnie) DeRoos; great nieces and nephews: Taylor Jankowski, Serenity Ludvigsen, Xavree Thompson, Adeline “Addie” Schmick, Jackson DeRoos, Leonardo “Leo” Schmick, Waylon DeRoos. He was further preceded in death by his infant sister, Mary Ludvigsen.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Emmett’s Bar and Grill, 139 N Richmond Street, Appleton.
