Bonita "Bonnie" J. (Bright) Patefield

Bonita “Bonnie” Joyce Patefield, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Bonnie was born on June 22, 1944, to Harvey and Henrietta (Beach) Bright, the youngest of their fifteen children. On May 11, 1963, she married the love of her life, Harlan Patefield, marking the beginning of a devoted partnership that spanned more than six decades.

Bonnie was a woman whose heart was firmly rooted in her family and faith. She found joy in being a wife, mother, and grandmother, and she had a quiet way of making everyone feel valued and loved.

She is survived by her husband, Harlan; her children, Aaron (Julie) Patefield, Kelley (Rodney) Ott, and Alan (Joanna) Patefield; her grandchildren, Amanda (Dave) Loritz, Jessica (Adam) Herzog, Jordon Patefield, Megan (Nate) Huber, Mitchell (Dani) Ott, Jacob Patefield, and Olivia (Hunter) Schultz ; and her 12 great-grandchildren.

She is also lovingly remembered by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arden Patefield, Garry (Barb) Patefield, and Benjamin (Yvonne) Patefield, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were touched by her kindness.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and her fourteen siblings.

A memorial service celebrating Bonnie’s life will be held on January 17, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. with visitation beginning at 2:30 p.m.
