Ardis Faye Hillyer, 84, of Appleton, was ushered into heaven by the angels on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, with family by her side.
Ardis was born on February 27, 1935, to John and Virginia (Robeski) Bedora in the Town of Grover, where she spent her childhood. After graduating from Coleman High School, she attended cosmetology college in Milwaukee and then married Raymond Will, raising a family in the Lena and Pound areas. Ardis moved to Appleton in 1975, where she later attended Fox Valley Technical College to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She lovingly cared for many people during her years as a dedicated CNA at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center in Menasha.
Ardis enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, traveling, crocheting, bingo, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her six children, Cheryl (Michael) Maas of Menasha, Sharon (Joseph) Smith of Appleton, Linda (John) Mentz of Waupaca, Laurie (Tim) Plamann of Appleton, Raymond Will, Jr. (Christina) of Lena, and Jody Will of Appleton; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters and their families, Shirley (Colin) Rymer and Marlene Shaft; and close friend, Barbara Beyer.
Ardis was preceded in death by her parents, John and Virginia Bedora; step-father, Emil Gross; nephew, Christopher Shaft; brother-in-law, Robert Shaft; former husband, Raymond Will, Sr.; and other extended family members and friends.
In respect for her final wishes, no services will be held.
