Virginia Irma Probst, 91, Appleton, died Friday July 27, 2018 at The Bridges of Appleton Nursing Home. She was born in Neenah on April 6, 1927, daughter of the late Ewalt and Irma (Beckman) Wollerman. Virginia married Eugene Probst on June 18, 1950 Eugene preceded her in death on November 2, 1989.
Virginia was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, Mackville where she volunteered her time and many talents to several church activities. Virginia worked on the family farm with Eugene for many years. She always had an open door and a meal ready for her family and friends when they came to visit. Virginia loved to cook, and enjoyed gardening and rummage sales. Her greatest enjoyment came from time spent with her family.
Virginia is survived by her eight children: Richard (Teresa), Mike, Mary Jo (Ernie) Rodina, Paul, Joseph (Ann), John (Jan), Joan and Ann Probst; 13 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters: Vonnie (Lawrence) Dennee and Darlene Johnson; brother, Ewalt “Butch (Joan) Wollerman Jr; and two sister’s in-law: Bette Cooney and Rose Wollerman. She was further preceded in death by her sister and brother in law: Ardell (Herbie) Trader; two brothers: Wayne and Vernice Wollerman; and brother in-law, Howard Johnson.
Mass of Christian burial for Virginia will be 11:30 AM on Wednesday August 1, 2018 at ST. EDWARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, N2926 State Hwy 47, Mackville, with Fr. Walter Stumpf officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Wednesday morning beginning at 9:00 until 11:15 AM, with Mass to follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in St. Edward Catholic Cemetery.
